If my philosophy and services seem right for you, please fill out the New Client Form which you will find at the bottom of this page. This will allow me to learn a little about you, the history of your hair, and what your goals are so that I may best accommodate you. We will then have a phone consultation to decide the best plan moving forward and get you on your way to achieving your ideal look.

Please keep in mind that lightened and colored hair requires a little extra love. I will guide you to your at hoe care and will discuss the treatments and toning services needed o maintain your look and to ensure the health, beauty and a desirable grow-out of your hair. Please read the following and initial if you are considering a lightening service. Thank you!

1. Each session may require a full application, each one fine tuning any inconsistencies exposed during the lightening process.

2. I do not guarantee any color or styling products that are not purchased in the salon even if they are products I have recommended. Products purchased on Amazon or in department stores have proven to be counterfeit and are often full of bacteria, watered down or expired.

3. ***Anyone who has received a chemical straightening or perm is unfortunately not a candidate for lightening services.

4. Hair that has been previously colored will require a test strand performed prior to agreeing to proceed with any lightening service to help ensure we can achieve our goals

I practice safe and proven color application and processing techniques in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Not all hair is in the same state of condition. Current and past product usage as well as previous chemical services may affect our ability to obtain your desired color while maintaining the integrity of your hair. Artificial hair color may lighten or eventually completely wash out over time, but the pigment will still reside in the cortex of the hair and must be taken into consideration. During your consultation we will discuss at length the goals for your hair and the steps needed to take as well as a cost estimate.

*Due to limited space, we ask that you do try not to bring any guests with you for your appointment whenever possible.

*For the consideration of all guests and stylists in the salon we greatly appreciate you silencing your cell phone throughout the duration of your visit *

Missed appointments/services: I understand that even with the best of intentions from time to time the unexpected will come up and you will need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Should this occur, there will be no charge for a minimum of 48 hours advanced notice, a 50% charge for at least 24 hours and 100% will be charged for less than 24 hours notice.

*Current credit card info and a 50% deposit is required for any new client service expected to last 2+ hours in duration and will be secured on file through Square should any of the above arise, in addition…

*If as you are getting closer to your appointment you anticipate that you no longer need a part of the services booked, the policy above will be applied to that part of the service. I do my best to schedule services to flow as seamlessly as possible for both of us so if you drop a scheduled service I may need to shift the time of your appointment to allow me to potentially accommodate another client in the new space now created by your reduced service needs.

*If you arrive late to your scheduled appointment or with unexpectedly less time available than we originally planned I will adjust what we accomplish in services for the time we have remaining, focusing on what is most needed, however, you will still be charged in full for all services originally booked. I would much rather charge my clients for services they receive so please plan accordingly for your best value and satisfaction which is always my goal for you.

Illness, etc

*To keep us all as safe as possible, if you have been exposed to Covid or suspect you are ill in any way, please reschedule your appointment keeping in mind the above cancellation policy.

*If you are testing negative but still have any of the following symptoms - coughing, sneezing, runny nose, congestion, fever, etc), even if you are improving, please stay at home until you are symptom free. I will hold myself to the same standard as well. * If you arrive at your appointment displaying symptoms I will be put in the unfortunate position of discontinuing our appointment and charging for the services in full.

Arriving prepared

* All hair services require you to arrive with clean (within 48 hours), detangled hair unless otherwise informed and prepared with whatever additional instructions were given such as, for example, prep for a specialized curl cut. This preparation is necessary for optimum results and to streamline your services. If you arrive without your hair properly prepared, unless I have time to prepare your hair myself for an additional charge, we may unfortunately need to reschedule your appointment or part of the services and it will be treated the same as a missed appointment.

Pricing & Timing

For some services it’s hard to know exactly what is required and precisely how much time it will take until we are proceeding. Therefore, prices and timing are approximations based on my previous experiences and depend on the length, thickness and condition of your hair and any surprises we run into. Salon services may require multiple steps and/or visits to create the desired final look.

What if You’re not 100% Satisfied?

My mission is to of course to give you a great experience where you leave 100% satisfied with your services at the conclusion of every visit. However, as in every situation involving human beings, there is the potential for mis-communication, human error, or science just simply not being on our side. If there are any issues with your service it is always ideal to address them while you are still there but occasionally either the timing is not ideal or you may notice something soon after your visit that we hadn’t caught while in the salon. If this should occur please contact me immediately so that I can book you to make any adjustments necessary as soon as possible.

Any concerns communicated after 2 weeks will be dealt with as a new service except in the following cases. If your toner or color has faded prematurely and you have been using recommended products, the refresh will be done at no cost to you. If the responsibility of any other issue falls on me, this will also be no cost to you. If you changed your mind on your service or want to add additional color or go darker, lighter or a different shade etc., this will be treated as a new service and charged accordingly. I have a no refund policy but will make every attempt to correct any issues or concerns. Your satisfaction is always my top goal.

Your Personalized Plan

When it makes sense to, I work with my clients to come up with a personalized maintenance plan that works with their budgets and how often it works for them to come into the salon so that their always happy with how their hair looks even in-between visits. For any personalized plan, please keep in mind that adjustments may be made to achieve your goals and/or to keep your hair healthy.

CLIENT AGREEMENT

I (Client) have disclosed to the best of my abilities all current and past products used on my hair and services I have received for the past 5 years. All the potential risks have been explained to me. I understand that there are instances when unexpected chemical interactions can occur if there is any residue on my hair or even if my hair has no product on it. There are no guarantees that my hair will respond in the way I want, and each session allows my stylist to better understand my hair. I release Estela Salon and Sharyn Paquette and any other entities associated with this business if any damage occurs. I have read and agree to all Hair Craft by Sharyn/Sharyn Paquette’s policies.
